RNC release video of armed robbery suspect

The RNC is requesting the public’s help to identify the person responsible for an armed robbery at Mr. Sub on Torbay Road in St. John’s Sunday, June 30 about 12:10 a.m.

A male suspect armed with a knife entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was seen getting into a vehicle that was parked on the side of the building.

It is believed a blond female was sitting in the waiting vehicle.

The vehicle then exited the parking lot and proceeded west on Newfoundland Drive.

There were no injuries in the incident.

The male suspect is described as being in his early 20s, approximately 6’0” with a slender build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white sneakers. The vehicle in question is described as an older model, two-door, Honda Civic, black in colour.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the general public and anyone that may have information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
