The speed should also be cut in work construction area as it is in N.S. Anyone caught speeding or doing normal speed get a stiff fine. Cell phones are against the law to use when you are driving ..so this should not be an issue.

It's time for escorted traffic through construction areas so everyone must follow a lead vehicle. Yes it will be slow and delayed but the impatient public has brought it on. It works in the maritimes. With reduced enforcement officers from justice cutbacks this is the only way to ensure "safety for all". The public have proven that they can not use the honor system for speed control in construction areas or anywhere else for that matter. Cell & text have multiplied the risk.

My condolences to the family and friends, such a tragedy.
