The is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery on Freshwater Road in St. John’s.
A photo taken from surveillance video shows a suspect in his 20s, approximately 5’10” tall
with a slender build. At the time of the offence the suspect was wearing a green plaid shirt, plaid shorts, black sneakers, ball cap and a backpack.
This morning, around 3:55 a.m., officers from the RNC Patrol Services, Police Dog Services and Forensic Identification Services responded to an armed robbery at the Ultramar service station on Freshwater Road.
According to police, a male suspect, armed with a knife entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene towards Booth Memorial High School, with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.
There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.
The male suspect is described as being in his 20s, about 5 feet,10 inches tall with a slender build. At the time of the offence the suspect was wearing a green plaid shirt, plaid shorts, black sneakers, ball cap and a backpack.
