A man and a woman who were a part of a group who robbed a reported drug dealer have each pleaded guilty to a charge of robbery.
Paul Michael Gavin, 20, and Allison Clements, 21, entered the guilty pleas today when they appeared in provincial court in St. John’s.
One count of assault causing bodily harm was withdrawn against each of the defendants by the Crown in exchange for the guilty pleas.
Clements also faces several counts of theft from unrelated incidents.
Sentencing hearings are set for October.
Another woman, Jessica Bonnell, already pleaded guilty to her involvement in the robbery and was sentenced to nine months in jail.
Police are still searching for another man, Dillon Downer, who is also believed to have been involved in the robbery.
It happened Oct. 9, 2011, when a man was attacked by four people near the west gate of Bowring Park in the capital city.
The group stole prescription pills, as well as a number of personal items.
More details of what happened will be disclosed during the sentencing hearing.
