A man working outside a Canadian Tire store in Carbonear is now being treated for unspecified injuries in a St. John’s hospital following a workplace accident.
According to an RCMP news release, the man received an electric shock late Sunday morning and was found to be suspended in the air on a cherry picker.
Police said the man was initially transported to Carbonear General Hospital and later sent to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s. No details have been released about the man’s condition.
Trinity Conception RCMP is working with Occupational Health and Safety to investigate the cause of the accident.
