NORTH SYDNEY — A Newfoundland man is scheduled in provincial court in Sydney this morning after being arrested and charged Tuesday with a drug offence.
Timothy Mitchell, 53, of Corner Brook, is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Mitchell was scheduled to have a bail hearing today on the charge.
He was arrested at the seized the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal Tuesday in North Sydney at about 8 p.m.
Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Service and RCMP joint force drug section were involved in the search.
NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. — Police say a man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught with drugs at a Nova Scotia ferry terminal.
The Cape Breton Regional Police Service say officers were called to the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in North Sydney around 8 p.m.
Insp. Mike Kennedy says a 52-year-old man was waiting in the parking lot for a ferry to Newfoundland when he was caught with a large quantity of marijuana.
The Newfoundland man is facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
