Armed robbery at Bay Bulls pharmacy

Police are on the lookout for a suspect in an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Bay Bulls Wednesday night.

According to a news release issued by the RCMP’s Ferryland detachment, the robbery occurred at Kennedy’s Pharmacy. The suspect was riding a black, racing-style motorcycle and fled from the scene heading towards Witless Bay. The robbery occurred shortly before 7 p.m.

Witnesses report that the suspect was brandishing a weapon that appeared to be a handgun. A large quantity of prescription pills were reported stolen.

    Just a friendly reminder to check your subject/verb agreement: A large quantity of prescription pills WAS reported stolen, not "were". :-) Need to hire a proofreader? I'm available. :-)
