The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a break-in Wednesday night and theft of four semi-automatic rifles.

RNC officers responded to a report of a break and entry into Complete Gun Repair on O’Leary Ave. in St John’s around 8:50 p.m.

Police say an employee discovered that the premises had been entered and four AR 15 semi-automatic rifles were missing from a wall rack.

The RNC Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Services were called to the scene.

At this time no arrests have been made. The investigation is continuing.

So now we have thugs running around the city with AR15's! You would think a store who sells firearms would be required to have some sort of high tech alarm system!! I guess not!!

Alarms mean nothing when you're intelligent, determined, and good at planning. Try not to be such a monday morning quarterback. Of course they have excellent alarms, as per the sales provisions in the Firearms Act of 1995

    1. Are these weapons illegal or not? 2. If they were on a rack, were they properly stored?
