The St. John’s IceCaps will be holding anthem auditions at Mile One Centre Saturday, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Successful candidates will have an opportunity to sing at an IceCaps home game during the 2013-14 season.
Performers will be asked to sing both the U.S. "Star Spangled Banner" and the bilingual version of "O Canada" a capella.
In addition to strong vocal ability, the IceCaps is seeking energetic singers to fire up the crowd throughout their performances.
Special guest judges are: Janet Cull from Spirit of Newfoundland, Randy Snow from the Hits Morning Show, 99.1 Hits FM, and Toni-Marie Wiseman from NTV News.
The audition is open to the general public for individuals and/or groups of no more than four people. Audition order is organized on a first-come first-served basis.
Performers are asked to enter Mile One via Gate 2. Based upon attendance, not all performers will have the chance to audition before 4 p.m., in which case singers will be considered based upon video submission. There will only be one audition day.
