Firefighters with the St. John's Regional Fire Department had to use the jaws of life to rescue a female driver from a vehicle that flipped over on the Outer Ring Road near the Torbay bridge just before 11 a.m. this morning.
The GMC Canyon is believed to have hydroplaned and flipped over a few times. Airbags went off in the vehicle on impact.
The extent of the woman's injuries hasn't been determined at this time.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating.
