Residents of Conception Bay South will be able to leave recyclable materials on the sidewalk for curbside pick-up starting in October.
The town launched the program today.
Mayor Woodrow French said residents will receive a kit in the mail this week including details on how they can make use of the service.
The mayor said he hopes the rate of participation amongst the community’s 25,000 residents will be high.
Curbside pick-up will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 1. It will be a bi-weekly service set to coincide with the day a resident can expect regular waste to be picked up by the town.
