RNC release armed robbery video

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has released a surveillance video and is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery that occurred At Marie’s Mini Mart on Torbay Road in St. John’s.

Around 9:10 p.m. on Aug. 22, RNC officers, the K-9 unit, Criminal Investigation Division and Forensic Identification Services responded to an armed robbery at the convenience store.

Police say the male suspect, brandishing what is believed to be a firearm, entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount.

There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.

The male suspect is described as approximately six feet tall. At the time of the incident he was wearing a hoodie and had his face concealed.
