The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary had another busy night Tuesday night on the eastern Avalon.
Officers responded to 199 calls in 24 hours up to early this morning.
• Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a vehicle collision in the area of Anthony Avenue in St. John’s.
A male driver lost control and struck a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported. He was charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired and breach of probation and was held for court.
• Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, RNC officers conducted a traffic safety stop in the area of Maddox Cove. As a result a 51-year-old man was charged with impaired driving and failing a breathalyzer. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
* Also, around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, RNC officers arrested a 33-year-old woman at St. Clare’s Hospital for assault, assault with a weapon and causing a disturbance. She was held for court.
