Two Deer Lake men, ages 46 and 50, are facing drug-related offences after being arrested on the Salvation Army parking lot in the community about noon Thursday.
Members of the RNC/RCMP Street Team, assisted by Deer Lake detachment members, made the arrests after witnessing suspicious activity involving the two accused parked in two vehicles on the parking lot.
A search of the suspects and their vehicles resulted in a small quantity of cocaine, Oxycontin pills, and Percocet pills being seized, as well as numerous empty pill containers.
The two accused were released from custody to appear in Corner Brook provincial court Oct. 29.
The investigation is continuing.
