There were multiple motor vehicle accidents in the St. John’s metro area that resulted in arrests for impaired driving on Friday.

A 23-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital, and police suspect alcohol was involved in the accident.

An accident on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s during the supper hour resulted in the arrest of man for impaired driving. He was kept in custody overnight for a Saturday courtroom appearance.

Another accident happened on Hamilton Avenue in the capital city. A woman reportedly refused to give a breath sample and now faces multiple charges that include impaired driving. She was also due in court Saturday.

Finally, a 20-year-old man was arrested in C.B.S. early Saturday morning after an RNC officer pulled him over on Legion Road. The man has been charged with impaired driving and was released to appear in court at a later date.
