Gord Bishop

A 29-year-old man arrested after police reportedly found him with a Taser gun has been granted bail.

But Gord Bishop will stay behind bars until he can come up with $4,000 cash, one of the conditions of his release.

At provincial court closing time today, Bishop still had not come up with the money and had to stay at least another night in jail.

Once he pays the money to the court and is released, he will be subject to strict conditions, including that he adhere to a curfew and report to RNC three times a week. He’s also banned from having any weapons.

He’s due back in court Nov. 14.

He faces several charges, including possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing of weapon for dangerous purpose and breaching a court order by having a weapon.
