The RCMP in Marystown has charged five students with drug-related offences following complaints to marijuana being sold around the property of the high school in the Burin Peninsula town.
On Sept. 13, the RCMP and the Burin Federal Policing Operations West, conducted an investigation into the case.
Four students were arrested for being in possession of a controlled substance. Upon further investigation, another student at the school was arrested and is being charged with trafficking of a controlled substance (marijuana).
The youth was released and will appear in provincial court at Grand Bank in November.
