RNC seeks witnesses to hit and run collision

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the assistance of the public in relation to a motor vehicle/pedestrian collision on Wellington Street in Corner Brook.

Around 8:30 a.m. Friday, a pedestrian was struck by a black Honda Civic near Presentation Junior High School. The RNC said the female driver of the vehicle didn’t stop and render assistance to the injured pedestrian who was taken to Western Memorial Regional Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The RNC is continuing its investigation into the collision and is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or were in the immediate area to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
