Police have a arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to a stabbing at a beach party Saturday night in Renews.
The man, who is a resident of Renews, will face charges of aggravated assault, uttering threats and two counts of breach of probation when he appears in St. John’s provincial court on Monday.
According to Ferryland RCMP, a 20-year-old victim from Ferryland suffered multiple stab wounds after he got involved in a large fight at the beach. He was taken to hospital that night and was in stable condition as of Sunday morning.

According to the RCMP, a fight broke out involving several people late Saturday night at a beach party. The victim, who is from Ferryland, got involved and was stabbed multiple times in the chest.
Police said the man was being treated for undetermined injuries. He was in stable condition as of Sunday morning.
Ferryland RCMP said the at-large suspect in the matter is known to police. Police described the attack as a targeted one and said the public should not fear for its own safety.
