Two pedestrians struck by car on Thorburn Road

Two pedestrians were struck by a car Monday night while crossing Thorburn Road in St. John's.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says the accident occurred around 10:13 p.m. in the area of Mossheather Drive.

A 17-year-old male and a 26-year-old woman were taken to hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.

The RNC accident investigation unit and identification unit were called to the scene. The investigation is still ongoing.

    Thorburn Road. I wonder when will we ever see changes and added safety for pedestrians in this area, and around the city. A close friend of mine was nearly run down using the crosswalk outside Moss Heather Drive, when a truck that didn't stop at the crosswalk sped through.
