A 17-year-old girl was arrested Tuesday by the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary for obstructing justice and assaulting a police officer.
The arrest was made around 3 p.m., at the same time RNC street patrol officers arrested a 48-year-old man in Paradise for breach of a court order.
He was detained in custody to appear in court this morning.
The girl was released to appear in court at a later date.
Also in the RNC's overnight report from early Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning, a 52-year-old man was arrested in the west end of St. John's for theft under $5,000 and breach of a court order. He was held in custody for a court appearance today.
At 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, as result of a traffic stop in the west end of St. John's, a 72 -year-old man was arrested for impaired driving . He was released to appear for court at a later date.
And, around 2 a.m. this morning, as a result of traffic stop in the downtown St. John's area, a 39-year-old man was charged with impaired driving. He was released to appear in court at a later date
