Towtruck driver Tony Kane inspects a vehicle that went off the Outer Ring Road Thursday afternoon.

There appeared to be no injuries resulting from a single-vehicle accident in St. John’s on the Outer Ring Road Thursday afternoon.

A blue Chevrolet car landed overturned in a ditch following the accident, which occurred in the eastbound lane. A tow truck has already removed the car from the ditch between Thorburn Road and the Team Gushue Highway.

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary vehicles remained at the scene as of 3:30 p.m. Thursday with emergency lights flashing. There were no reports of traffic delays.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the accident, with heavy rain causing lots of water to accumulate on the road.
