The case of a St. Lawrence man accused luring a 13-year-old girl over the Internet and sexually assaulting her returned to St. John’s provincial court Friday morning.
Bradley William Giovannini, 31, was not in court Friday, but a defence lawyer was present on his behalf.
The accused was charged following an incident in St. John’s on June 4 and arrested a week later. Giovannini is also charged with sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and theft under $5,000. The latter charge relates to an incident at Sears in December 2011.
Giovannini’s lawyer told Judge Lois Skanes he was waiting for disclosure related to the case. Skanes agreed to set over the matter until Oct. 11.
Excluding situations where Giovannini needs to meet with his lawyer and attend court, the accused has been ordered by the court to stay away from St. John’s.
