On Sunday, around  2:55 p.m., Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers responded to Whiteway's pond in Torbay, after receiving a call of a possible drowning.
Torbay volunteer firefighters and an ambulance also responded.

Cardio pulmonary resusciation (CPR) was performed by people at the scene on a man who responded and was then taken to the emergency department. The RNC says his injuries were not determined.

I think that this article should be corrected to say "It was not the SJRFD (St. John's Regional Fire Department) who responded, it was the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department".

FYI, It was not the SJRFD who responded, it was the Torbay Volunteer Fire Department.
