No Jerome, I guess that there were many areas of conflict that made it easier for you to leave politics . Who's next?

Wasting billions of dollars on an unneeded project has put us in a defecit situation through this governments incompetence . Mr Kennedy knows this and had a big part in causing our provinces financial problems. Our 2 billion dollar fund that Danny brought home and most of our oil money has been secretly funnelled into SNC Lavalin, Nalcor and their corporate friends . But, hey bill 29 takes care of all that for now! Hopefully a new government will open the books and people will be held accountable in the future . When a lawyer gets out in the middle of his term you know somethings just not right.

The truth shall set you free...Many politicians will, in some way, be imprisoned forever.
- October 02, 2013 - 14:22
Nfld should elect the Liberals so they can ruin it like they have done in Ontario, double the deth, double hydro and have a million unemployed and tax, tax, tax and the NDP are even worst.

You are right Jack. But know this: Shea is first and foremost loyal to Shea! Only when there is a very good reason - usually in the name of self-interests - will Shea spare some of that loyalty with Dunderdale.
- October 02, 2013 - 11:46
2007 - 2013. Coincidence or pension.
- October 02, 2013 - 11:08
Hallelujah! Now if only the sorry excuse for a premier would answer our prayers.
- October 02, 2013 - 11:08
Rightly so! Every last one of those people should resign. They should also be so ashamed of themselves for what they have done to this province that they should have the decency to leave this province and never return like the political criminals they are. This is the result of picking leaders from a pool of lawyers and business executives. If you pick flowers from a poison ivy patch, don't expect to pick roses. Our system of government is broken and flawed and I fear only a complete collapse will open citizens eyes to what has happened.

I Think Mr Kennedy is a honorable man to be stepping down before 2015, He could hung around like Tom Marshalls and milk the people little more, But Mr Kennedy. is doing the right thing. What do you have to say about this Mr Eddy Joyce? lol..
- October 02, 2013 - 10:30
Yeah folks, kiss them all good bye..... like we have a good bunch of alternatives waiting in the bullpen called the Liberal or NDP party.
- Good Riddance.
- October 02, 2013 - 10:18
Leaving us with 50-years of mega loan payments; The secrecy act; Cut off services to the public in a have province with "more pride but less money" and that's just a few of the things he's done. Yup. He's a real class act, that feller.

If the reaction to a few people in Carbonear on the TV News last nite, it would appear to me the whole community will have withdrawls from now 'till Christmas. Guess they love being kept in the dark about what happens in Confederation and the 50-year straig-jacket of Muskrat Falls.

Jerome Kennedy's resignation marks a great day for Newfoundland and Labrador as it spells the end of the evil Dunderdale and her "Harperite" regime. I won't be surprised if more members of Dunderdale's inner circle will call it quits.

- October 02, 2013 - 09:37
I guess politicians like Brazil, Little and Little John are praying to get elected one more time so they too can get the elusive politician election. Don't hold your breath boys, I hope you have a plan B.

At least Kennedy is willing to leave on his own unlike the rest who will stay on until they are removed from power in 2015. I'm not sure why Kennedy is resigning early but it might have to do with the direction that Dunderdale is taking government, something which a lot of people see except the remaining 20% of blind followers. Not to mention Kennedy has helped ruin so many lives and families with the recent budget cuts, I can understand why he can't stay on, I wouldn't be able to live with myself for a lot of the actions he has been a part of. Go back to private life and try to forget, that's the best he can do.
- October 02, 2013 - 09:01
Don't let the door hit you on the way out. Na-na-na-na....hey-ey-ey...goodbye Drome! Et toi, Madame Dunderdale?
- October 02, 2013 - 11:33
Careful what you wish for. The alternatives and their policies are grimm
- October 02, 2013 - 08:58
You wait for a day like this forever, and when it arrives you don't know how to feel... If I never see or hear from Jerome again in my life I will be very happy. Come on 2015 so we can turf Kathy and the rest....

The rats are leaving the sinking ship
- October 01, 2013 - 09:57
They've got enough political pension time in, so SEE YA!
- October 01, 2013 - 09:27
Wanna take bets on who's next? My money is on Joan Shea. She is out there hiding in the woodwork somewhere I guess, but she has been a non factor since removing programs from the CNA. Pension earned [sic] and with Dunderdale's latest polling, Shea will grab onto Jerome's coattail as he jumps ship. And to make the chain complete, the Chair of the Board of Directors of Nalcor will be grabbing onto Shea’s petticoats as she hurdles topsides.
- October 02, 2013 - 10:02
Jayne, since Joan Shea is known for being highly loyal to Dunderdale, I don't think she will go next. I say Tom Marshall, Darin King, or Clyde Jackman will be next. Clyde Jackman could be next due to the negative heat from the formation of school superboards.
- October 02, 2013 - 10:15
Tom Marshall........his retirement has been mentioned around a couple govt water coolers in the last couple of months

Fed Up! Well Kennedy is the second to jump ship. Osbourne crossed the floor and as for Shay, well it's not much odds about her anyway every government dept. she was responsible for she screwed up. Can't wait for the next election won't vote P C again.
