Woman charged with arson in connection with house fire

A 39-year-old St. John’s woman has been charged with arson in connection with a fire on Bauline Line Extension in Portugal Cove St. Philip’s in April.


About 4:15 a.m. Friday, April 26, RNC officers and firefighters from the Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire at a residence on Bauline Line Extension. The residence was destroyed as a result of the fire. There were no injuries reported.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this fire and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
