Please release why the woman isn't being charged? I as a taxpayer deserve to know why money was spent investigating and warning the public of this false claim. Our justice system is the worst in Canada. If people aren't held accountable, how can the next person who repeats this act be charged?

She should be made pay the cost of the time spent by the police department investigating her LIES.

The last release noted it was a youth. Obviously a cry for help! Hopefully she will get the help she needs now!

Now we have a false accuser on the loose.

Good thing this false report did not include a good discription or sketch of the fake perp. It could have actually resembled someone who could have had their image ruined beyond repair. Because of the seriousness of such allegations, this woman should be charged to send a message to other people who make up fake perps that could be like real people.

Charge this person and get her checked at the Waterford. Anyone who makes a false police report and ties up police resources while inflciting terror in the community, should be charged with public mischief.

I assume I am not the only one who feels this female should be charged with public mischief at least. Because of her false accusations, people were afraid to go walking anymore in that area or any area for that matter since the suspect had not been caught. Whatever happened to being honest and not trying to scare people half to death???

The public has the right to know why this criminal won't be charged with wasting police resources, mischief and a host of other illegalities. What's up?

Why will the woman not be charged if she wasted police time? If this was a man, he'd be in jail by now.

Perhaps you should charge the alleged "victim." Why? For creating fear among female trail users, for using up police resources, for being a lair that we were all supposed to feel pity for, and for sending the message that false reports like these are OK.

She should be charged!!! To scare a city with lies of sexual assault. Give me a break...but if I robbed a steak to feed my family I would be jailed. Stupid system!

This lady should be charged with making a false statement. This is terrible considering everyone was so worried.
