A fishing boat caught on fire at the Glovertown Shipyard just before the noon hour today.

The boat, the Lorne & Cathy, was tied to the wharf at the time and has since been towed out in the harbour as the fire burns out of control on the vessel.

The local fire department and shipyard crews are on the scene.

It is not known at this point what caused the fire.

More details when they become available.

    So what's the problem? Just tow it out to sea, let 'er go, and let the Irish eventually put out the fire. Or whatever. Either way. Look....a squirrel!

    I find it hard to believe that someone who was taking pics for the shipyard of their new project would be the first to send one in of this to the media. No concern about how the business would look, as long as that person got credit for the pic. Unreal
