The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying two men responsible for two armed robberies in the St. John's-metro region Sunday.
According to police, around 9 p.m. Sunday, an armed robbery was reported at Marie's Mini Mart on Topsail Road in Paradise.
A male suspect armed with a knife entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.
The male suspect is described as about six feet tall, with a thin build and had his face concealed.
The other armed robbery was reported around 7 p.m. Sunday at Clara's Convenience at the corner of Blackmarsh Road and Mundy Pond Road in St. John's.
Police say an armed male suspect armed entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.

Around 6:57 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery at a business in the west end of St. John’s.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes.
The Criminal Investigation Division and RNC Forensic Identification Section responded to the scene.
Around 9 p.m., another armed robbery was reported at a business in the Paradise area.
The suspect, a lone male, fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money .
The Criminal Investigation Division ,RNC Forensic Identification Section and K 9 Unit responded.
The RNC says information on the weapons used in both robberies and descriptions of the suspects will be released at a later time.
