Edward Gerard Fahey — charged twice in a week with impaired driving — was released on bail when he appeared in provincial court in St. John's this afternoon.
Conditions include that he pay $1,000 bail, post one $2,000 surety, surender his driver's licences, abstain from alcohol and stay away from any establishment that serves alcohol.
He's due back in court Nov. 29.
Fahey, of St. John's, was charged Sunday with impaired driving, failing the breathalyzer and failing to stop at the scene of an accident after he was said to have hit a parked car.
The 54-year had been charged six days prior, on Oct. 29. for impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. He was released after being charged in connection with that incident and was due to appear in court Nov. 29.
