The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a 33-year-old woman with armed robbery, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and assault with a weapon, in connection with an armed robbery at a commercial business on Military Road in St. John’s.
According to the RNC, the robbery occurred around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday at Needs Convenience store on Military Road.
A woman, armed with a knife, entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes. There were no injuries sustained during the incident.
The accused was arrested without incident and held in custody to appear in provincial court.

Police say a female has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
