RNC seeking public’s help in armed robbery investigation

The RNC is asking the public for help in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart on Fowlers Road, C.B.S., Thursday night.


About 10:20 p.m. a male suspect armed with a knife entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene with some cash.

The suspect fled the scene in what is believed to be a black four-door vehicle. There were no injuries during the incident.

The suspect is described as approximately 6’4” tall with a slim build and short blonde hair. He was described as wearing a grey hoodie, jeans, white baseball hat, and had his face concealed.

Anyone who has information that would assist in identifying the person responsible or anyone who may have any information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Another armed robbery in St. John's-metro

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating another armed robbery in the St. John's-metro region.

Around 11:18 p.m. Thursday an armed robbery occurred at  Maries’ Mini Mart on Fowler ‘s Road in Conception Bay South. 

Police say the suspect, who had his faced covered, was  armed with a knife.  There were no injuries. The suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

The RNC said It is believed that the suspect left the scene in a vehicle immediately after the robbery. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

This is the third armed robbery in the metro region in two days. Two armed robberies occurred in St. John's Wednesday night.
