Wow, this guy sounds like a nightmare! I hope his girlfriend broke up with him. His sentence was joke, he should have gotten much more time even if it was his first violent office. Choking a police office???? If he is violent enough to do that to a police officer I can't imagine what his ex-wife and girlfriend have endured. Too bad there are no easy answers, but Anger management training should be a major component of his sentence. I vote for shipping this guy over to the middle east and ripping up his passport so his ex-wife's family can get some sleep :)

So let me get this straight, this person can assault and threaten two women and a peace officer and be out of jail in a few months??? What happened to the punishment fitting the crime? Given his violent behaviour, both of these women are likely at risk once he is released. They will be imprisioned by fear for the rest of their lives, while this sad excuse for a man gets a rap on the knuckles. His sentence should include starting anger management treatment ASAP. Hopefully we won't be reading about either of these women as murder victims in the future. So much for protecting the innocent!

How long before we see this guy again for something much more serious? A year? Six months? Whenever I'm sure we'll see him again.

Yet another failure in the Canada Justice System. This guy needs to be behind bars for a lot longer than 4.5 months.

there used to be a time that threating a life was a big thing and assultuing a peace officer was a big thing with big sentenced , not anymore it seems
