Marystown man dies in traffic accident on the Burin Peninsula Highway

A 19-year-old Marystown man died as a result of a two-vehicle collision about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Burin Peninsula Highway.


Marystown RCMP say the accident occurred just south of the St. Bernard's-Bay L’Argent intersection.

Weather conditions at the time of the crash were poor, with occasional white-out conditions and slippery roads.  The weather conditions were a major contributing factor to the cause of the accident.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time to ensure all next of kin have been notified.
