The City of St. John’s has been working to repair two water main breaks today in the east end and centre of the city.

The latest was reported around 5 p.m. in the LeMarchant Road area affecting an area from Pleasant Street to Cornwall Crescent.
In an advisory on its website, the city says crews are currently working on repairs. It says area residents and surrounding residents may experience loss of water, low water pressure or discoloured water. If you are experiencing discoloured water, you should run your cold water tap in your bath until it clears.
The advisory gives an estimated time of 10:30 p.m. for repairs to be completed.
This morning, shortly after 8 a.m., a water main break was reported in the Airport Heights area affecting Airport Heights Drive, Hercules Place , Galaxy Crescent, Forde Drive, Autumn Drive, Parkers Pond Road,Alder Place, and Savannah Park Drive. The estimated repair time was 6 p.m.
Also, on Friday, the Mundy Pond Road area from St. Teresa’s Court to Ropewalk Lane was affected by a water main break from about 3:15 p.m. to midnight.
Another water main break Tuesday affected the Knowling Street area for about seven hours.
