The general public and those directly impacted by changes to Employment Insurance are invited to make submissions to the Advisory Panel on the Pan-Atlantic study of the impact of recent changes to Employment Insurance.
A news release today said stakeholders and affected organizations received invitations to participate in sessions last fall with representatives from the advisory panel.
Members of the general public can request to appear at sessions. Individuals or groups must register for a session by emailing EIconsultation@gov.nl.ca on or before Jan. 10.
Sessions will take place:
• In St. John's Jan. 16 from 2-4:30 p.m., and 7-9:30 p.m. at the Capital Hotel;
• In L'Anse u Clair Jan. 20 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Northern Light Inn;
• In Corner Brook Jan. 21 from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Glynmill Inn;
• In Grand Falls-Windsor Jan. 22 from 7-9:30 p.m. at Mount Peyton Hotel.
Written submissions will be accepted by mail or email until Jan. 31.
