Officers had their weapons drawn following what appears to have been a short police chase in Conception Bay South Saturday afternoon.

RNC

Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers in a patrol car attempted to stop a vehicle on Manuels Access Road shortly after 3 p.m., but the vehicle failed to stop.

According to the RNC, another police vehicle in the area managed to position itself so the vehicle being pursued was forced to slow down.

That vehicle stopped. The RNC then engaged in a high risk vehicle stop, during which officers unholster their firearms but do not point them at a suspect.

Police said six people where in the vehicle ranging in age from 13 to 20 years old. The person driving the vehicle was reportedly 15. That person will face charges of dangerous driving and flight from police, and will have several summary offence tickets to deal with.

The RNC reported there were no injuries or damage to any vehicles involved in the incident.

This story leaves so many questions.Would love to know the parent's reactions to this. I'm interested in seeing if these kids will only get a slap on the wrist. By the sounds of it, their crazy stunt put a lot of people in danger.
