The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to 157 calls for service between early Tuesday morning and this morning.
Around 2 a.m. this morning, a 51-year-old man was charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit in the Topsail Road area.
The man's vehicle was stopped by police after a complaint from the public .
Around 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, officers conducted a routine traffic stop in the area of Park Avenue, Mount Pearl.
A check of the drivers’ licence revealed he had two suspensions of driving privileges. As a result the 20- year-old man was charged with driving while suspended under the Highway Traffic Act. His vehicle was seized and he was issued a summary offence ticket to appear in court at a later date.
