RCMP says accused blew three times legal limit

A 22-year-old Happy Valley-Goose Bay man has been charged with impaired driving on a snowmobile.

Police say he blew three times the legal limit of alcohol in blood. RCMP arrested the accused about 11 a.m. today while he was operating a snowmobile in the area of Mesher Street and Churchill Street in the Labrador town. He will appear in provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at a later date. The RCMP notes that drinking and driving while operating a snowmobile carries the same penalties as if operating a motor vehicle.
