The RNC in Corner Brook is investigating a collision today involving a school bus carrying two students and a car in the east end of Corner Brook on slippery road conditions.

There were no injuries reported in the accident.

The accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. on Riverside Drive. The bus, travelling in the east-bound lane, was transporting two students when it collided with a car travelling in the opposite direction.

The car sustained moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Road conditions at the time were snow and ice-covered and speed was not deemed to be a factor. Charges under the Highway Traffic Act are not anticipated.

The RNC would like to remind motorists that weather and road conditions can change quickly at this time of year and caution should be used at all times. Winter driving conditions require drivers to reduce speeds and increase distance between the vehicle in front of them.
