Armed robbery, attempted armed robbery in St. John's overnight

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an armed robbery Monday night and an attempted armed robbery  in St. John’s.


Around 11:40 p.m., an armed robbery was reported at the Ultramar gas station on Kenmount Road.

Members of RNC Street patrol, K-9 Unit, Criminal Investigation Division  and identification section responded. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.

There have been no arrests yet.  Around 6:30 p.m. Monday night, an attempted armed robbery occurred at  City Superette on Pleasant Street . There have been no arrests yet in this incident.

Anyone with information that might help in these investigations is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the RNC.
