The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating another armed robbery early this morning in St. John’s and a robbery Tuesday night without a weapon.
Police received a report of an armed robbery around 12:10 a.m. at the Ultramar on Kenmount Road. Two people were reported to have entered the gas bar with what police say was an “edged weapon” and left with an undisclosed amount of cash and items. They ran from the scene, towards the Avalon Mall.
This is the second time in two weeks that this gas bar has been targeted in an armed robbery.
Anyone with information that would assist police investigators are asked to contact the RNC or Crime Stoppers.
Around 7:48 p.m. Tuesday, a robbery was reported at Needs Convenience store on Newfoundland Drive where a man reportedly entered the store and demanded items.
The RNC said no weapon was visible. That incident is also under investigation.
