Medical emergency diverts flight to St. John's

A medical emergency caused a flight from the Dominican Republic to Berlin, Germany to be diverted to St. John’s Wednesday night.

According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the call regarding the aircraft came in around 10:50 p.m. The plane had to stay overnight at St. John’s International Airport. All passengers were accommodated in local hotels.

The plane was expected to leave St. John’s this morning.
