RNC seeks public help in robbery investigation

The RNC is seeking the public’s help to identify the person, or more than one person, responsible for a robbery in the area of Cookstown Road in St. John’s Monday about 12:30 a.m.


RNC offices and police dog service responded to the area of Cookstown Road at LeMarchant Road to a complaint of a disturbance involving eight to nine people.

Officers spoke with a male at the scene who advised he had been robbed by three “young” males who were carrying a weapon.

A police dog was used to search the area but wasn’t able to locate the suspects.

The three males fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed quantity of Canadian currency.

The male was treated at scene by paramedics for minor injuries.

No description of the males was provided to police.
