Dean David Langdon is facing two counts of assault and one count of breaking and entering. He was taken into custody to appear in provincial court on Wednesday.

The RCMP says it received the call about 7:15 p.m. Saturday. When officers arrived, the accused was being restrained by local residents and ambulance attendants.

He was handcuffed and transported to hospital for cuts to his hands. He continued to resist restraints, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and/or drugs.

He remained in hospital overnight and was taken into police custody the following morning.
