St. John’s IceCaps’ leading scorer Kael Mouillierat is done for the season due to an unspecified injury.

IceCaps coach Keith McCambridge confirmed the news for The Telegram this morning.

Mouillierat, who had amassed 49 points for the team, was injured in what was described as a "contact" play.

The news comes at a time when the IceCaps team is on a roll.

Their latest win was a 3-2 overtime decision over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers Saturday night at Mile One Centre setting a franchise record eighth straight win.

The team now sits in fourth place in the American Hockey League's East with a 36-19-1-3 record.
