The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Corner Brook has recovered what it believes to be stolen property related to several thefts from vehicles in the Corner Brook area.
This morning, around 1:30 a.m., police officers responded to a report of people checking vehicles in the area of Coronation Street. Upon arrival, officers located and arrested three males and a female in relation to thefts from vehicles in the area. A quantity of stolen items was recovered and the RNC is seeking the public’s assistance in an effort to return this property to its owners.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old male resident of Corner Brook was held in custody at the RCMP cells in Deer Lake and charged with failing to comply with the conditions of a court order. He will appear in provincial court later today.
The RNC says further charges are anticipated. Investigators are asking anyone who may have been a victim of theft from their vehicle overnight to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
