A 27 year old male was lost on a dirt bike in the area of Paddy’s Pond Saturday evening.

Police got the call from the male just after 6 p.m who said he had gone into the woods on a dirt bike, was cold and wet and was unable to find his way out. The officers responded to the area along with ground search and rescue. The male was found near the Soldier’s Pond area at 1:00 am in the morning. The male was treated on scene and released.

I believe that this is the same person that followed me in through the trails yesterday as far as Witness Bay Line. At that time he asked me for directions to get gas and that he would try to get someone to help him get back to the Patty's Pond area. If I had know he was going to get lost, I would have waited for him. He was out of his element, was not dressed for a day in the woods on his bike and his bike had no lights for night riding. I hope he has learned a lesson from that. Unless you know where you are going it is very easy to get lost in that trail system and you should be dressed for the weather and have a GPS. Enough said......
