Special blood donor clinics are being held today in Conception Bay South and St. John's to honour the life of Nick Coates, who died last year in a tragic motorcycle accident.

On Aug. 16, 2013, he was killed in a tragic motor vehicle accident on Kenmount Road. Coates received blood transfusions that night.
This clinics today not only celebrate his life, but also marks the importance of blood donation.
