Alcohol was a factor in a number of incidents Saturday night.

The compass in one driver’s vehicle was obviously having trouble between east and west Saturday night.

Saturday night the RNC saw a vehicle not only illegally driving down George Street but doing so in the wrong direction. A traffic safety stop resulted in the man being issued a 7 day suspension after he had a reading of ‘Warn’ on the Roadside breath tester.

One intoxicated male either didn’t like what he saw outside a window or what he saw reflected back.

Police responded to a disturbance at Darnell’s Pub in Paradise where staff said a male had smashed out several windows and took off on foot. He was apprehended shortly after by a K9 officer and held for court. The 27 year old male was charged with mischief and breach of probation.

A 20 year old female was charged with impaired driving in the area of Portugal Cove. Likewise, a 55 year old male was charged with the same in the Long Pond area.
